Is Zoom a safe platform to use?

Zoom was once thought to pose a security threat due to having its calls routed through Chinese servers.

Zoom responded to this by changing its protocols so that a host can choose to have sessions routed through US-based servers. That means the risk of a foreign government strong-arming Zoom for access to information on our sessions is no longer a threat.

All versions of Zoom 5.0 and higher utilize GCM Encryption to protect user data.
