The hips are incredible powerhouses for the physical and emotional bodies. Designed to move fluidly, the pelvic girdle is unfortunately impeded by the large amount of sitting that our culture undertakes daily. This is the first time in human history that we have grown our bones while sitting in chairs. The impact of this cannot be understated--loss of circulation, decreased movement of lymphatic fluid, constriction throughout the torso, impoverished digestive and reproductive functions, pain and injury to the knees and shoulders...the list goes on!
So let's carve out some time to love on our hips. In this Kaiut Yoga Method workshop, we will free blockages in the soft tissues that restrict this area of the body. The result will be a more optimized biomechanical functioning of the whole system and an improved sense of overall well-being.
All levels are welcome. Please wear comfortable clothing. Mats and props are available at the studio, however you are welcome to bring your own. We will be using bolsters, a strap, blocks and blankets.
