New Year, Time to Clean Your Cabinets!
Hello there!
If you managed to discover this little message, congrats! I am officially taking on a daunting task I’ve been avoiding for a year and a half. Basically, ever since I started writing my own newsletters (when I lost my assistant to a new job), I’ve had the intention of turning my writings into blog posts on my site. So even though this post is from January 1 of 2023, it’s getting posted here June 25 of 2024.
From here forward, I’ll just drop these newsletters as much as I can until we catch up with the current day. Then I can start sharing them in real time. I hope you enjoy and absorb all the goodness you can from these. They sometimes read like my private journal entries and sometimes sound more like a Yoga dharma talk. I appreciate that anyone is interested in what I have to say, so thank you for reading.
Much love and gratitude,
Tucker (Thr33)

Happy New Year everyone!
Wow, what a year it has been! Tucker Yoga hosted trainings and retreats in NC, TN, IN, CO, and Morocco, hundreds of online and in person classes, Community Q+A's, Holiday Gatherings, Kaiut Study Groups, and more. I often forget when I'm in the thick of things to step back and reflect on how just how much I've accomplished. I had help along the way from the wonderful Beth Molaro, my assistant Sara Luna, and of course all of you.
As we start this new year, things are stripped down. Beth went on to her own adventures, Sara took on a new job, and old tasks these two had been managing fell back to me. I have struggled and flopped more than a bit for sure. (FYI Marketing is about my least enjoyable task.) Emails have been dropped, the Tucker Yoga instagram has become a ghost town, and I felt a bit crushed by the overwhelm of everything that needs doing.
It reminds me of a chat we had this week about cleaning out your cabinets. When we turn our attention to areas in our home that haven't been touched in a long time, we can feel very overwhelmed. The process kicks up dust, triggers memories, and can make us feel activated/triggered. However, it also reminds us that we have the capacity for change, and seeing the process through leaves us feeling refreshed and more peaceful. (The same is true for our bodies and minds when it comes to our Yoga practice, and this is the topic for the Tucker Talks chat in this week's newsletter--more on that below.)
Knowing that the best way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time, this is how I choose to step into the new year. I want to take my time to go through and clean up this beast of Tucker Yoga one piece at a time. I can guarantee you it won't be a smooth or perfect process, but I will do my best. There may be some missed emails and forgotten details, but I will pick things up where I can. I am grateful in advance for your patience and understanding with this next phase of growth.
And in looking back on this last year, all I can say is wow! I am so thankful for another wonderful year of sharing this incredible work with you all. I am humbled and amazed, and I look forward to much more magic in 2023!
